The Salzkammergut – with Lake Wolfgang at its heart.

The Salzkammergut stretches across Salzburg, Upper Austria and Styria: a landscape of clear lakes, alpine pastures and limestone mountains, shaped by salt, imperial history and the old tradition of summer retreats. The Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lake Wolfgang is one of its most beautiful lakes. Three villages, each with a character of its own, line its shore: St. Gilgen in the west, St. Wolfgang with its famous pilgrimage church on the north shore, and Strobl at the quiet eastern end of the lake – where our apartments are.

Here the day begins with a view of the water and ends with the sun setting over the mountains. In between: swimming, hiking, cycling, crossing the lake by boat – or simply doing nothing.
